To anyone picking this up for the first time—though I doubt there are many of you—hello. Starting from this volume would make enjoying the story quite the challenge.

To those who aren't newcomers, thank you for sticking with me from Volume 1 all the way here. With this third volume, "My Childhood Friend is a Corrupted Saintess!" has reached its conclusion.

With the final volume safely making it into the world, I feel a sense of relief for now.

And at long last… though that might be an understatement, as I mentioned in the previous volume's afterword, I was finally able to deliver Almaeira's H-scene.

I hope the depiction lived up to the scenario of two people releasing twenty years' worth of pent-up feelings toward each other—though on the flip side, I worry it might have been too drawn out. Opinions may be divided on that.

Even so, nothing would make me happier than knowing those of you who've followed along this far were satisfied.

Speaking of what happens after the main story: what Yoal and Almaeira have ahead of them is, in a sense, long twilight years together.

They'll continue living their lives, but their story ends here.

By the way, I'm the type who wants to know every detail of what happens afterward. I'd often think, "Don't just tell me to imagine it for myself—write it!" Yet when I found myself on the writing side, I was surprised by how much I hesitated.

Perhaps bringing a story to its end also means the characters leave the author's hands and stand on their own—that's my excuse, anyway. Sorry about that.

Finally, my thanks to everyone who worked hard to bring this series into the world.

To my editor, who taught me everything from scratch when I was completely new to all of this.

To Bokan-sama, the illustrator whose beautiful artwork brought so much color to all three volumes.

And my endless gratitude to all the readers who stayed with me until the very end.

If the opportunity arises, let's meet again somewhere.
